Tibberton Parish Council recognises the diversity within the community and undertakes to treat everyone with civility and respect regardless of any differences. Our policy, for adoption in July 2023, is set out below and is attached as a pdf to download.

Tibberton Parish Council is committed to the promotion of equal opportunities in its role as an employer and as a local authority which provides services within the Tibberton community.

The Council recognises and values the diversity of the local community and believes that equality is central to the provision of modern quality services.

 Tibberton Parish Council is committed to providing and promoting equal opportunities, eliminating discrimination and encouraging diversity in the community.

2.     Purpose

3.     Scope

 This policy applies to all employees, volunteers, contractors and elected members of Tibberton Parish Council.

4.     Equality Act 2010

5.     Equality Commitments

  • Tibberton Parish Council supports the principles and practices of the Equality Act 2010 and recognises that it is the duty of all councillors and employees to accept their personal responsibility for fostering a fully integrated community at work by respecting and adhering to the principles of equality for all.
